FEATURED ARTICLE            <tune in, turn on, rock the nation>

Featured article  [ CHECK THE RHYME ]

‘Industry rule number 4000 and 80, record company people are shady’. Record company people aren’t shady; it is not called an industry for nothing.  It exists to make money not art, to suggest there is anything shady or covert about this is naïve to say the least.

INTERVIEW                          <meet and greet>

Featured interviews>   [ AFRIKA BAMBAATAA ]

"I feel sorry for this generation, they [only] know the corporation, media controlled [version of what] hip hop is, even the radio station; they always talkin' about 'We hip-hop' but they just play rap records. If they say they're a hip hop radio station, then where's the go go, where's the electro-funk hip hop, where's the Miami bass hip hop, where's the trip hop, where's the jungle, where's the hip house, and all that?"

 [ ROOTS MANUVA ]

‘In the UK we don't really flaunt wealth that much. That's why hip hop is so much healthier over here. We're not hung up on the big cars and the clothes. It's not just about people wanting to be famous’

Relative newcomer to the funky-arse breaks block is the interestingly named Canadian label 2Wars and a Revolution.   After only one and a bit years on the scene, 2Wars has certainly been drawing worldwide attention and setting tongues awag with their stable of dancefloor destructive artists.
